Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast who was captain of The US women's Olympic gymnastics the 2012 Fierce Five team as well as in 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in team and floor competitions and bronze on the balance beam. In the end, she was the very first American to compete at an Olympics who had the most amount of medals. In the 2016, Olympics she won an Olympic gold medal for the team event, which brought her along with teammate Gabby Douglas the credit of being among the few Americans to have two consecutive gold medals for the team. In addition, she was awarded silver medals at the individual all-around event as well as for floor exercise. In between the two Olympics she had taken a break from competitive gymnastics for three years. The gold medal she won for the American team also took home 2 World Championships. Her first experience with gymnastics began at age of 2 and her favourite activity is Floor Exercise. Aly is a member of her favorite charity, the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who died due to cancer. Aly plans on pursuing a career in fashion and is looking to increase her signature line of leotards as well as socks in the future. Fierce, a new book she's currently working on will be released sometime in the coming year.
